A Message from NCI President/CEO, Rebecca Zoll

 

Our Annual Breakfast event was a huge success this year. Our honorees shared the morning with 600+ business, civic, and community leaders from the North County area. We would like to thank all of you for attending and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s event.

A special thanks to our regional partners who participated in this year’s program by sharing details on their partnership projects with NCI to benefit the community. Those individuals include:

  • Dr. Chris Kilbride of the Ritenour School District on Education in North County
  • Greg Horn of MoDOT on the I-270 Corridor Study

Congratulations to NCI Executive Board member Dr. Marcia Pfeiffer, President, St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley on her retirement after 34 years of service at the College. She started at Florissant Valley in 1980 and has served as president for the last 12 years. Also a BIG WELCOME to Ruby Curry, who has been appointed interim president of Florissant Valley Community College. Curry has served the college in several different leadership roles for the past 38 years. We look forward to her continued leadership at this new level at the College and Ruby’s involvement with NCI.

NCI in collaboration with the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce, Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Chamber of Commerce is hosting a North County Marketing Strategy-Community Engagement Meeting on Friday, June 20 from 11:30am – 2:30pm at the Workforce Solution Group office at SLCC’s Corporate College.

The cost to attend is $15.00 and includes lunch. Reservations and payment are due in advance and no walk-ups will be accepted. This event is open to members of NCI and our partner chambers. We are looking for your opinion so please join us to share your thoughts and ideas on how to make North County a better place.

2014AnniversaryDinnerOn Sunday, July 27, 2014 we are holding our Anniversary Dinner, Wine Pairing and Silent Auction at Hendel’s Market Café and Piano Bar in Florissant. The event begins at 6pm with the silent auction and dinner will be served at 6:30pm. The cost of tickets is $85.00 per person. Reservations are required and space is limited to the first 80 paid registrations so RSVP quickly. For more information you can visit the event page or contact the NCI office. 30LeadersLGOn Friday, September 26th NCI, along with media sponsors GTNN and Community News, will host the annual NCI Salutes 30 Leaders in their Thirties event at Norwood Hills Country Club. The awards reception begins at 11:30am. We are currently seeking nominations for deserving candidates with the deadline for nominations being July 14. EGWLogo-NewGifI would like to encourage NCI’s membership to please consider attending East-West Gateway’s final presentation of the Drafted Master Plan. The meeting will take place on June 4th from 6-8pm at the Center for Workforce Innovation on St. Louis Community College’s-Florissant Valley campus. East-West Gateway has revised its plan for 2014 as part of an on-going planning process designed to ensure continuous improvement in their efforts to maintain its strong commitment to public involvement.
